Ms. Massingill grew up in a small Pennsylvania town. She spent her formative years involved in various athletic and musical endeavors, including a brief stint in Tae Kwon Do.
Ms. Massingill arrived in New Jersey in 1993 to continue her athletic career as a Division I Field Hockey and Softball player. After graduation, she began her career in retail sales which lead to a position as a Human Resources Representative.
In 2001, Ms. Massingill began training at NEAMA and has since begun a career in Law and Public Safety.
Ms. Massingill was awarded the rank of Sho Dan (First Degree Black Belt) in May of 2008 and awarded the rank of Ni Dan (Second Degree Black Belt) in May of 2010.
